Last night (yesterday afternoon for Britannia) , Arsenal somehow managed to lose 3-2 Wigan athletic, after leading 2-0 with 10 minutes to go. Unfortunately I didn’t watch the game, but I did follow the text updates at football365.com. I initially envisaged going to the pub to watch the match with a mate. I’m glad I didn’t. It seemed to be a heading for a comfortable win for the Arsenal until Victor Moses came on for Wigan, 3 goals in the last portion of the game including a Fabianski howler.
I think Niall Ferguson, expresses the anguish that comes with supporting a ‘nearly team’ like Arsenal very eloquently :
” It must be said that sometimes supporting Arsenal at football is as painful as supporting Scotland at rugby or the Redsox at baseball.” From his twitter account.
